About Me
When I was twelve I started writing on an old-fashioned sky blue typewriter my parents had hidden in their closet. The ‘y’ key never really worked. I liked how it made my poems look slightly off-center.
In 2007 I attended an intensive six-week Science Fiction and Fantasy program known as Clarion West. It was both one of the best and worst experiences of my entire life. I haven’t been the same since, and I have no regrets.
My short stories and poems have appeared in Cadillac Cicatrix, Willard & Maple, Sanskrit, Dos Passos Review, Louisiana Review and Red Wheelbarrow. All of my work focuses on the use of imagination and altered states while crossing genre lines between realism and magical realism. I like to use my wry sense of humor to bring the best out of all my characters as well as everyone I interact with in my daily life.
